That's why Perricone uses fruit from its own orchards when possible, and carefully selects the oranges ourselves. Then, we extract, lab test, package and distribute our products using our company's own equipment virtually every step of the way. It's a feat that no other producer can match.
Owning our orange groves guarantees Perricone reliable access to high quality citrus for longer periods of time. And when our California groves are not in season, Perricone's own buyers - not outside sales representatives - directly negotiate with growers in active growing regions.
These other growers are no strangers. They are top quality producers with whom the Perricone family has established ties over the past 60 years. As a result, Perricone always has a ready supply of the best fruit available.
Before we purchase any fruit, Perricone's buyers overnight express citrus samples to Perricone's own lab for testing. Once tested and accepted, the fruit is cleaned and hand-sorted twice using zero tolerance before extraction.
To ensure a fresh, consistent taste, our oranges are lab tested onsite and blended according to their acid and sugar content. Then, within one minute of extraction, Perricone drops the temperature of its fresh-squeezed orange juice to 29°F. Microbiologically lab-tested again, the juice is then packaged and placed into refrigerated trucks for immediate delivery.
The whole process transpires so quickly, the juice on your table today may have come from oranges that were on the tree just the day before.
